Before I researched the topic I knew that caffeine was bad for you if your intake of the caffeine was high, but I didn’t know that most of the products that you buy today have a lot of caffeine in them. The essential research question is what does so much caffeine do to you, and why should the children not drink/eat so much food that have caffeine in them? We should research it because we need to know what it is going to do to our bodies to know how we can stay healthy, and hopefully increase our timespand of living. The data was collected by looking at and researching the labels of different caffeinated products. I know this informations validity, because the FDA also researched the things, and got the same conclusions that the scientists did.

The research found that there are over 126 caffeinated foods in the United States, and 29 of these products have been introduced this year alone. They also found that when four middle school aged students drank highly caffeinated energy drinks they had to be sent to the hospital because they were sweating so badly that the teachers thought that they were having heart attacks. The conclusions that can be drawn from the research are that we need to cut down, and watch our daily caffeine intake, and we need to watch what we are feeding our kids. The information is presented by fact, and then the facts are supported by information that the scientists found by researching. My opinion about the research is that I think that we need to know what we are eating every day and how it is affecting our bodies. The person that conducted the research was a Johns Hopkins neuroscience professor named Roland Griffiths. He conducted the research because after he looked at some labels of food he let the FDA know to label how much caffeine is in each product.

Other questions that I have is that if your caffeine intake is to high can you die, or will you just get severe side effects? I also would like to konw where you can get the caffeinated soap because it seems neat to try. This connects to our coarse content because in biology we learn what affects our bodies.
